Since most, if not all, of us are self isolating, we have to get some pleasure out of what is in our home and in our surroundings. So I decided to take pictures of my favorite things in our home.
-
I love our sitting room which has windows on three sides looking out to the mountains. In the morning I color there and I also have been doing my work there as well.
It’s a beautiful place. One of my favorite colorings is the rooster. Isn’t he a splendid fellow!?
-
I love sitting in our kitchen. You notice the beautiful stained glass window behind me which my friend Dara Marks made for my 50th birthday!
-
I love my Noah’s Arc original painting from my friends Mark and Sabina from England – painted by his mother who is a professional artist. It reminds me that we are not the only people self isolating!
-
Peter and I bought a summer quilt and it came with sheep shams. Can you say “sheep shams” without grinning?
-
We have lights on top of a cupboard with birds and flowers. I love having those lights on. During the winter we converts that to red Cardinals and flocked branches.
-
I love our Adirondack red chairs on our deck. And you can see the Mountain View that we have.
-
Here is my beautiful Estonia grand piano. It has such a beautiful tone and is such a joy to play. I usually practice about an hour a day.

And here is my all-time favorite- my dear husband Peter! It is actually wonderful to be self isolated with Peter. He is such a good and caring man and he and I have a similar bizarre sense of humor. When we need a laugh, we just say “sheep sham”. It takes very little to amuse us!
